RS Archery Meets Dragon’s Den Star Theo Paphitis
Small Business Sunday otherwise known as #SBS on Twitter, was created by Theo Paphitis in October 2010.
Theo is best known for his star role in the BBC’s Dragons’ Den but he’s also Chairman of Ryman Stationery, Boux Avenue lingerie & joint owner of Red Letter Days (with Peter Jones)
Every Sunday Theo rewards small businesses that tweet him and describes their business in one tweet (140 characters)
Theo reviews and chooses his favourite lucky six who are then re-tweeted. As he has over 230k followers, this provides a massive boost to the chosen lucky businesses.
@rsarchery (twitter name) were one of those lucky six winners that Theo choose to retweet my #sbs tweet to all his followers on Sunday 30th Jan 2011
This was RS Archery’s winner tweet – @TheoPaphitis #sbs for all that is Robin Hood – company archery events, archery clubs, medieval birthday parties. Archery the sport for all.
From that one retweet by the Dragon, we instantly gained more followers and naturally loads of interest in our archery company based in Hatfield. RS Archery specialise in corporate events, medieval archery & medieval knights parties and also run archery clubs.
On Friday 30th March 2012 Theo with the aid of Ryman Stationery organised the first #sbs event which was held at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham where all the winners so far have been invited to attend and will meet Theo in person.

A little unknown fact about Theo is that he loves archery which made a perfect conversation point when we met at the #sbs event
The future for RS Archery is looking great because of this special win and maybe one day Theo may even pop down to our club for a quick shoot.
If you are interested in having a go at archery be it a corporate event, a birthday party or on a more regular basis at our archery club then don’t hesitate to contact us.
