Forget clowns, bowling, bouncy castles and the usual party activities - Have something original & exciting.

Our medieval archery birthday parties are great for all ages including adults.
As with all our archery events - we are mobile, fully equipped & insured,
but most of all we don't mind wear silly clothes!

We will keep the children (minimum age is 8 - no maximum age!) busy for 2 hours of NON STOP medieval archery fun (if we don't you can put us in the stocks! - we haven't been put in yet!) Check out the medieval equipment. Handle arrows, bows, swords, armour etc. (limited amount shown below) Learn about our medieval lives with our informative, but often gorey stories.
Our parties can be held outdoors or during the winter months (october-march) we would strongly recommend a hired hall i.e. school / church / community centre / sports hall - approx size required is 20ft x 30ft (all venues subject to assessment and needs to be hire for 4hrs - 1hr set up/2hr party/1hr break down)

Be the expert at the medieval cross bow competition (no apples on children's heads - sorry!)		Why not get put in our medieval stocks or charge at the Quintain (but mind the swinging bag)

	Rough guide to how the medieval party runs Most important is the safety talk! Then it's straight into the Archery (longbows shooting at our castle in two teams of 5) After having fun shooting we let the child have a break/rest from the action where we talk to them about the life that we led in the medieval times (often gorey & unpleasant) and show them various weapons/clothing/armour (chain mail, swords, arrows, spears, etc. all blunted for safety) At this stage the children will be amazed as we demonstrate some sword fighting (for safety reasons children can’t do this – but is great fun to watch!) (* however the children can participate in sword fighting with wooden swords against a hanging sack - not each other!) It's then back into the action with a friendly crossbow competition or charge at the Quintain. Depending on what the children would like to do (and time permitting) we would then do some more Archery, Crossbow or Quintain. This is followed by each of them being placed in the stock - only for a laugh (unless you cross our palms with gold!) At the end of the medieval party each child is “Knighted”. The birthday child is the last child to be “Knighted” and not only does he/she get a birthday party he/she will never forget but is also presented with a special birthday trophy (don't tell them as this is a surprise)
