A very special birthday party for up to 12 children (inc birthday child – Ages 7+)
Learn the way of the medieval knights Code of Chivalry – honour, respect,charity, justice,truth,valour and become a modern day knight!
Our parties are ideally held outdoors, but during the winter months (October-March)
We would strongly recommend a hired hall (e.g. school, church, community centre, sports hall).
The approximate size required is 20ft x 20ft (6m x 6m)
All venues may require assessment and need to be hired for 3.5 hours (1 hour set up, 1.5 hours party, 1 hour break down).
- Quintain – Medieval jousting practice along the tilt
- Dressing of the Knight Game – soon finds out the squires in them!
- Our excellent talk about all things Knighty!
- Sword fighting – Against sack or controlled moves with us (never against each other!) with wooden swords called wasters.
- Spear training – Learn the moves & control the spear against an advancing army (the other team or a hanging sack)
- Kingy – A real medieval game played by knights for speed & balance – 1 player has a shield while the other throw soft balls (although in medieval times it would have been stones!) at the feet. If the stone (ball) hits you – you’re out!
- Score points – All activities will be marked (with a points flag) – which team will be victorious!!!
- Hand on session – handle the armour and weapons (all blunted)
At the end of the medieval party each child is “Knighted.”
The birthday boy or birthday girl is also knighted & presented with a personalised medieval style scroll with their name on it.
Why not make it an extra special knighting with some of our medieval swords from our e shop.
Just to add more value to our Knights Birthday Parties.
As each child is now an RS Knight we would love to hear from them when that a knight or knights have be upheld the code of Chivalry i.e. – helped out at their school fair, local community or if they have achieved above their normal standard (i.e. excellent behaviour, head teachers award etc…) This may then be added (subject to conditions) to our RS Knights Page for one & all to be proud off.
