Company profile

RS Archery is a family run archery company,
with a policy of giving participants fun & entertainment while keeping safety a top priority.

It is jointly owed by Steven & Rebekah Davies (husband & wife) and was founded in 2003.
RS Archery is a new forward thinking company to what is an old sport.

With many years experience in the field of archery we are giving archery a much need boost with fresh ideas and energy.

Steven Davies
Joint Owner

I started archery in1989 at a small club called Boxmoor Bowmen where I learnt the basics.
Moving to my current club Howard Bowmen, my archery skills grew with the help of various archery coaches.

In 1998 I decided to put something back into archery and qualified as a GNAS archery coach in March 2000, later becoming the coach in charge of the junior section of the club where they won several individual competitions & team leagues being placed top club in Hertfordshire.

In my many years of archery I've had the chance to not only shoot but own several different types of bows from the modern Olympic style recurve, the English longbow, an American compound bow (hunting) & a hill tribe hunting bow from Thailand.

Rebekah (my wife) started archery in 1997 when she joined Howard Bowmen with her father
Peter Ephgrave. She started with the basic recurve style bow (which we teach with) & quickly progressed using a modern metal riser (handle) marksman bow.

Rebekah has excellent organizational skills & is a driving force behind some of the company’s ideas and direction.

She has endless knowledge & ideas on entertaining children - much of which has come from being a parent to our two wonderful daughters (the RS Archery owners of the future?)

Peter Ephgrave
History Expert

Peter has been shooting since 1997. Also starting with the basic recurve style bow he progressed on to a Samick Turbo II bow (a carbon limb set up for speed)
Peter has a vast knowledge of both medieval history & weapons. He has even joined the Medieval Siege Society and can be seen "attacking the enemy" in their displays around the larger castles in the UK.

Peter's love is for the English longbow (at present I think he owns 6+ from Victorian to New). He has also helped make our flat bows, crossbows & several items of medieval clothing, shields etc....
